If you’re looking for a dessert that feels like you just won at life, this Blueberry & Amaretto Tiramisu Trifle is it. It's rich, it's boozy, it's downright dangerous — and it's surprisingly easy to throw together. This beauty layers fluffy vanilla pound cake, ladyfingers soaked in cold brew coffee and Kahlua, and the most dreamy amaretto mascarpone whipped cream you’ll ever taste.

And because we’re extra around here (in the best way), we’re weaving in our Berry & Brine Spiced Blueberry & Haskap Jam between the layers. It brings this unexpected pop of tart, cozy flavor that cuts through the richness and ties everything together like magic.

This is the kind of dessert you whip up for a brunch, a birthday, or honestly, just because you want to impress yourself. It’s indulgent but still feels totally effortless. The hardest part? Not eating the whole thing straight out of the trifle dish with a spoon. Let’s get into it — you’re going to LOVE this one.

What is in a Blueberry & Amaretto Tiramisu Trifle?

  • Pound Cake
Go for a dense, buttery pound cake — homemade or store-bought. It soaks up all the mascarpone cream and jam without getting too mushy. A good vanilla-flavored one is ideal.

  • Mascarpone Cheese
Use a full-fat mascarpone that's creamy and mild. It makes the whipped cream layer rich and silky without feeling too heavy or sweet.

  • Whipping Cream
Choose a high-fat (35%) whipping cream. It whips up light and fluffy, balancing out the richness of the mascarpone and the booze-soaked ladyfingers.

  • Pure Vanilla
A splash of good quality pure vanilla really ties all the sweet flavors together — don’t skip it! Go for real extract over imitation for the best flavor.

  • Berry & Brine Spiced Wild Blueberry Jam
Our jam adds this gorgeous, spiced tang that cuts through the creaminess. It’s honestly the secret ingredient that takes this trifle from good to next level.

  • Ladyfinger Cookies
Light, airy ladyfingers are the perfect coffee-soaked base layer. They soften beautifully without getting gummy or soggy.

  • Cold Brew Coffee
Go for a smooth, rich cold brew — it adds depth without overpowering the other flavors. You can use strong brewed coffee in a pinch.

  • Kahlua
This coffee liqueur amps up the coffee flavor and adds a little boozy warmth. Definitely a must if you love that classic tiramisu vibe.

  • Amaretto
Sweet, almond-flavored amaretto gives the mascarpone cream its signature flavor twist. A little goes a long way!

  • Cinnamon, Cocoa Powder, Fresh Blueberries
These finishing touches add warmth, a pop of freshness, and a beautiful, dramatic look.

What other jam flavors work well in this recipe?

If you want to switch things up, raspberry jam would be amazing — that tart pop would work so well with the sweet mascarpone. Blackberry jam would also be delicious for a deeper, moodier vibe. Even a spiced cherry jam could make it feel a little fancier. The key is to choose something with a bit of tartness to balance the creamy, sweet layers. I'd avoid anything too sweet like strawberry jam unless it's homemade with a bit of lemon or spice!

Can it be made without the alcohol?

Absolutely! If you want a non-alcoholic version, just skip the Kahlua and amaretto. You can dip the ladyfingers in straight cold brew (or even a decaf version) and add a splash of almond extract to the mascarpone cream for that nutty flavor without the booze. It’ll still be rich, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. Perfect if you’re serving kids, or just want a lighter option!

How long does it keep?

This tiramisu trifle actually holds up really well for about 2–3 days if you keep it tightly covered in the fridge. In fact, it gets even better after a few hours because all those flavors meld together. Just know that after about the third day, the cake layers might start to get a little too soft. But honestly... it’s usually long gone before that’s even a problem!
